Superman Forever Radio 45- The Fastest Man Alive

Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, but is he faster than fellow superhero, The Flash?

That is what we look at this week with some classic stories that pit the man of steel against the scarlet speedster in the arena of racing- but when it comes to superheroes, it can’t be a simple foot race.

Marvel at Superman and the Flash circling the earth, racing through the galaxy, following a trail made by Mr Mxyzptlk, and an emotional moment in which a young hero grows from fledgling superhero, to a confidant of Superman.

And, look back at the origins of two flashes, as well as the scarlet speedster’s appearance in Superman: The Animated series.

Superman Forever Radio 44- Superman Vs Shazam!

This time, it’s the Man of Steel taking on The World’s Mightiest Mortal in a series of classic tales, including the first appearance of Captain Marvel.

Then, it’s on to the treasury edition Superman Vs Shazam! from DC’s Bronze age which brings Superman and Captain Marvel face to face with their greatest enemies, but can the heroes stop fighting each other long enough to save their worlds?

And, another episode of Superman: The Animated Series featuring a creature from beyond, and it’s destructive force is on it’s way to Metropolis.

album043Welcome back. The show hits on on cylinders, returning to a weekly schedule.

This time, we take a trip down memory lane to look at Kenner’s Superman: Man of Steel line of action figures.

With many variations on Superman aside, the line was the first dedicated to Superman himself, and not the DC Universe as a whole.

This is one of the most unscripted episodes ever, and features some horrible accidents with firing missiles that justify the fears felt by parents about the firing Boba Fett backpack.

Also, we pick up the second half of the second season premiere of Superman; The Animated Series, with “Blasts from the Past Part 2″.

Superman Forever Radio 41- The SFnR

Change is in store for Superman Forever Radio, as the DC Reboot inspires David to take the show in an all new, fresh direction.

It’s a major announcement that will change the show’s second season, and the way Superman is covered.

Amalak, the alien with a mad on for Kryptonians must contend with Superman, Power Girl, Supergirl, Krypto, and Christopher Kent in Superman #670, which concludes the “Third Kryptonian” storyline.

The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel face down Darkseid in the conclusion of the “Torment” storyline in Superman/Batman # 42, before going toe to toe with Dr. Light in issue #42.

And, we conclude the first season of Superman: The Animated Series with the 13th episode- “Two’s a crowd” where we learn the importance of a big screen TV.

And Darkseid returns to the show to make amends, and to make his own important announcement.
