Episode 74- Metropolis Superman Celebration and Superman vs Wonder Woman

album71There aren’t many double features in Podcasting, so this is a very special episode.

Join J David Weter and his guests Charlie Niemeyer of Superman in the Bronze Age, and Billy Hogan of The Superman Fan Podcast as they hit the town of Metropolis, Illinois for the 2013 Superman Celebration.

While there, Charlie and Billy joined in a live recording of the first half of the treasury-sized Superman Vs Wonder Woman, complete with all of the excitement and distractions a live recording brings.

Episode 72- From Krypton to Metropolis

sfr44albumCome on a trip back in time with me, to the realm of memories, in the year 1984.

This week it is my privileged to present to you the audio that inspired my Superman fandom, and this very Podcast- FROM KRYPTON TO METROPOLIS.

Thanks to the generous Steve Younis, you will hear the complete origin and evolution of the Man of Steel the way that I did as a child.

Episode 70- The Worlds’ Mightiest Mortals

album70It’s another round with Superman meeting up with Captain Marvel, and Cap brings his entire family this time.

When villains Mr. Mxyzptlk and Mr. Mind construct a diabolical plan, the two powerhouse heroes must work together to get Superman back to his world.

But, they will do that, right after they have some crepes.

Warning- There was an issue with my DVD of Superman: The Animated series that arose at the last minute, so despite my teasing of the episode coverage, it doesn’t happen, and I apologize for the technical difficulty.

Superman Forever Radio 52- The Smallville Chronicles

There aren’t any reruns in podcasting…. well, almost.

This time around I re-present the three episodes of The Smallville Chronicles: A Superboy Podcast, a show that I briefly hosted after Superman Forever Radio went on it’s hiatus.

Looking at the first three appearances of Superman as a young man, the show was enjoyable, and I’m glad to put the material back out into the world.

Share the adventures of Superman, when he was a boy, in the golden age.

Superman Forever Radio 46- Driving with David

While David does his best to present a thought-out, critical podcast, sometimes he just wants to talk Superman.

Join in on a late night drive into David’s memories, as he revisits places  from his childhood that helped form his fandom. Gasp at his reminiscence at getting his Super Powers Superman figure.

Marvel at the moment he became a superhero, and moan as David gets passionate about the merits of child’s play, and believing in heroes, all while navigating his car through the dark streets of his hometown.
