I was recently on an episode of From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast Presented by the Superman Homepage, discussing the prologue to the EPIC “Panic in the Sky” storyline.
The podcast is hosted by Michael Bailey and Jeffery Taylor, and covers the era from 1986-2006, and everything that happened from the Man of Steel #1, all the way to Infinite Crisis, where Superman Forever Radio picks up.In perfect ti
ming the episode hit this week, as the show is on hiatus. This should solve your Superman fix until i return in a big way on Sunday May 8, 2011.

Recording this episode was a lot of fun, and I want to thank Michael and Jeffery for putting up with me.

During the second episode, we completed our discussion, and asked the pertinent question- Does this origin still matter?

Doing this show was a blast, and I want to thank Michael, once again for inviting me to participate.

Also, news from the SFR Daily Planet- Tom Welling on Jimmy Kimmel, Bryan Singer on why Superman Returns failed, Bizarro to the rescue, and more.

Then, we return to the animated universe of the Man of Steel, as he takes on the menace of Metallo in “The Way of All Flesh” before wrapping it up with a production note.

Remember to come back Thursday when we review the Superman comics cover dated July of 2007, including Action Comics #850.

Superman Forever Radio Episode 24- June/Early July 2007

Download Directly

It’s the Thursday review episode, and we have progressed one month to June of 2007, but…

June, 2007 had a huge amount of Superman books… exactly one. Superman Confidential #5 was the only Superman book published with that cover date.
No Joke. One in-continuity Superman comic.
But, “Krypton” ratchets to a breathless climax, and it all comes together, all at once.
So, it’s time to look at Tim Sale, and his work on Superman, Heroes, and more.
Then, we look at what was happening elsewhere in the DC Universe, before moving on to Early July 2007, where Superman confronts a “Crisis of Faith” and, will the real redemption please stand up, please stand up??
It all leads to next week’s look at Action Comics #850, Superman #663, and Superman/Batman #35.
And don’t forget to come back Sunday, when it’s time to take a look at the seminal Superman stories of Alan Moore- “For the Man Who Has Everything” and “Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow“, and the animated debut of Metallo in Superman: The Animated Series.
